The Finish Line

The Finish Line is a transforming and inspiring story about Tiffany, who thinks small chats with friends at lunchtime in school are all she will recall when she looks back on her school days. Her running and hard work bring about supportive people who change the ways she sees herself, her mother, and the world around her.

Thought-provoking mother-daughter interactions, historical facts and events, and suspenseful terrifying encounters supersede what appears to be a predictable storyline. This book leaves the listeners wanting to do more and be more than they ever thought they could before.

Terrible narration

The upward inflection at the end of each sentence was very annoying. The story is pretty good, but even though it's from the perspective of a middle school student, it shouldn't sound like a middle schooler is reading it.
