This was terrible! AI would probably have done a better job than the main character narrater. Absolutely insufferable listening to her emotionally dead voice. The storyline is not much better.

Worst main character narration

You could figure out who the bad guy was by chapter 4- zero surprises in this book. This is not always a deal breaker but the book had far too much repetition, long drawn out scenes and internal dialogue pointing out obvious things. It couldn’t decide if it was a crime novel, courtroom drama or political thriller. Didn’t do any of the three well.

On top of being poorly written, the performances of the main character was insufferable. She came across as having low energy, very little drive and did things in the book that were just a no no for someone being sold to us as a Yale law professor. The more I read, the more I hated that character.
I haven’t read their other collaborations but understand they are much better.

Predictable and poor performances

I made a huge mistake in buyinh this title, the woman narrator is awful, it honestly felt like it waz AI or a robot telling the story. As for the actual story it was ok however i was so disappointed as im a big James Patterson fan. Avoid
