Bucky Drake literally just got his managerial position at McDaniel’s, but he’s already been promoted to "Hero" whether or not he's interested in the job. Dragged against his will through a yawning purple vortex by a mouthy catgirl, he finds himself in another world full of vivid colors—and peerless beauties. Cowgirls, lamias, satyresses, unicorns, and even elves of all colors of the rainbow make his acquaintance early and often...and he handles them pretty darn well for a random fast food worker in over his head.

That's the way things are going to be from now on. On Lusteria, the population is largely female and made up of monster women and elves. There is the odd transmigrated human here and there, but Bucky is special. He’s been chosen.

But chosen for what?

The three Dark Queens must be defeated. Bucky isn’t totally sold on the idea, though, not just yet. For now, he’s satisfied to just enjoy the simple life in Tater Town, the small, dumbly-named village he’s grown to call home.

He’ll get around to being a hero…eventually.

Anxiously waiting for book 2

Alright Virgil where is book 2? Don’t make us wait a year for the next book. This is one of my favorite books by this author

I love it

I love it and want a lot more just like this. A man that is happy with his new situation and doesn’t over think every little thing.

Amazing atory

Amazing from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed every second of the characters and slow building world. Voice actors did amazing too in expressing the characters emotions. can't wait for the 2nd biok

MEH

While i liked the book overall, there is a trope i strongly dislike. It is something that appears in Virgil books and relates to pregnancy and children. Once I notice this trope, I tend to drop the book immediately because it detracts from the story for me. Because of this, this will probably be the last Virgil book I listen too. Also, the members of this harem are largely forgettable and add little value to the overall narrative.

Fantastic start to a series.

Virgil’s books keep getting better and better. If you’re a fan of the genre, this has pretty much everything. Perfect blend of smut, wholesomeness, and humor. Narrators both did a fantastic job as well. Eagerly awaiting the next entry.
