Just finished The Fix by Mia Sheridan and wow… I am completely blown away! 😭💖 As a huge Mia Sheridan fan, I’ve read every single book she’s written, and somehow she keeps finding ways to top herself. And, this one had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Cami’s story grabbed me from the first chapter! Her past trauma, the shocking phone call, and that terrifying video of the trapped boy had my heart racing. I had no idea where the story was going, and I loved that I couldn’t predict a single twist. Mia Sheridan knows how to write suspense, heartbreak, healing, romance, found family, and second chances perfectly. Cami and Rex’s journey had me screaming, crying, and holding my breath all at once.

Everything about this audiobook is thought out so perfectly. The characters, their backstories, their connections, even the tiniest details. Honestly, five stars barely feels like enough. Mia Sheridan just blew me away with this one. If you love stories that keep you up all night, tug at your heart, and leave you completely satisfied… The Fix is a must listen❤️📚

One of the best *trigger warnings are warranted

It’s rare that a book is both thrilling, full of gripping twists and unexpected turns, and is also one of the most heartwarming reads. The bulk kept me on my toes while the ending had me smiling ear to ear, and that feels rare. 10/10 recommend

Excellent, except the unclarified trigger warning!

I am not a huge trigger warning fan unless physical abuse is involved, especially when the victims are under 18. This story contains descriptive sexual abuse towards the beginning. I skipped forward 5 minutes as the assault began as that never needs to be described and only hurts the story. The author can allude without description to show how terrible the attackers are.

This would have been a 5 star read for me as the rest of the story was excellent.

Good book overall!! Would recommend

Book is good and keeps you entertained with the suspense. Not sure how I feel about the narrators switching between male and female randomly. Wish it was for the male characters and the female characters but it seemed it was at random who would read the next chapter. Not a deal breaker just seemed odd.

Tragically dark and beautiful

Mia is a one click author for me so I went into this book totally blind and loved it. But please be kind to yourself and check CW/TW because this book gets *dark.*

I was hooked from the beginning and absolutely loathed when real life forced me to put this book down. Luckily this was available as a read and listen book so I was able to continue reading even on the go. Which was great because at no point did I know what was going to happen next. After something pretty big happened about halfway through I was like what does Mia have in store for us for the next half is the book?!

I love how Mia is able to write such beautify in the midst of so much tragedy. The book starts with some incredibly traumatic events for Cami but after a time jump we see the full extent of just how strong she is and how she didn’t let the events of her past stop her going after her dreams, fighting for those who need help, and making amends for past wrongs.

Likewise Rex’s life didn’t go how he planned but he didn’t allow it to make him bitter or hold a grudge against Cami when she came to him desperate for help. I loved the partnership they developed and how they found safety, security, and love with each other.

I also enjoyed how there were almost two stories in one with Rex coming to the rescue of someone else just trying to their best to help others despite the overwhelming obstacles they faced.
