The author would do well to drop the virtue-signaling misuse of plural pronouns. It serves no purpose in the story. Stop pandering to the .01% please.

Narration was excellent

This is a great story and the narrator is perfect for this book. The book was very hard to put down. The use of them/they pronouns is distracting and doesn’t work in writing or anything else. It’s confusing to refer to one person as them or they and disrupts the listening experience. People can be what they want to be but it doesn’t need to be in our face with every other character in the book. It doesn’t contribute to the overall storyline and only tries to normalize this nonsense which is why I gave it three stars.

Great story

If you enjoy being confused by a group scene where an individual character is referred to as they/them this book is for you. For those of you who recognize it as pandering to the authors social circle jerks, congrats on being a normal human being.
I’m so tired of this virtue signaling garbage in every book I read lately. If it were once or twice it’d be an artistic choice that would be a bit shocking. Now it’s just the sign of someone old and out of touch trying to be relevant in a really obvious and sad way.
Stop writing books based on what the “cool kids” on social media are saying and focus on being a good story teller. This nonsense adds nothing and completely distracts the reader from what you are saying.

Loved it. Really good. Did get tired of the same villain returning but all in all enjoyed it. Can’t wait to hear 3rd installment.

Second book ❤️❤️

First the narration: Narration is great. Well read, and enjoyable to listen to
Second the story: Story is good, but long winded. Some scenes are dragged on and on and get boring. I found myself fast forwarding through some parts. The villain is also way over the top, and keeps coming back, repeating the same villainies over and over again...gets boring real fast...
so, will I listen to the third book? yes
Do I recommend this one? Ehh!

it's ok!!
