The Frightening Catch

Five high school friends head to their favorite fishing spot, the Lost Lake, for the summer’s first cast, anticipating little more than sunburned shoulders and the occasional trophy bass. But when two of them vanish without a trace, only to reappear as hollow-eyed revenants, the glistening waters reveal a darkness hungrier than any fish. As the lake’s sinister influence seeps into the once-quiet town, neighbors morph into zombified shells driven by an otherworldly hunger.

With bodies piling up and hope ebbing fast, only Old Man Mel, a reclusive legend who once worked at the nearby secret military base, might hold the key to stopping the ancient evil lurking beneath the surface. Can his hidden arsenal of forbidden knowledge and the base’s covert strike team halt the contagion before it consumes every last life? Or will The Lost Lake drag another generation into its depths, spitting out only what remains?
