Charley's life changed dramatically the summer she turned 13, after she and her friends snuck into a supposedly haunted building on a dare. A fun-filled summer and first love ended in trauma. She is now a boring, reclusive adult overwhelmed with responsibilities, watching life pass her by.

Charley must face her fears and learn to use her newfound psychic abilities to fight the evil spirit that has haunted and tormented her family for generations.
