Ex-black-ops-specialist-turned-strip-club-bouncer Joe Brody has a new qualification to add to his resume: an alliance of New York City's mob bosses has deemed him its "sheriff." In the straight world, when you "see something" you "say something" to the law. In the bent world, they call Joe.

Still reeling from a particularly difficult operation, and having plummeted back into the drug and alcohol addiction that got him kicked out of the military, Joe has just managed to detox at the clinic of a Chinese herbalist when the mob bosses phone: they need Joe to help them swindle a group of opioid dealers (of all things). But these are no typical drug-ferrying gangsters.

a different angle to mystery story.

A lot of twist and turns and characters to keep track of. I enjoyed it.

Awesome

One of the best books I listened to in awhile. Joe The Bouncer is an interesting character. All the characters in this were intriguing. Couldn’t put it down. Looking forward to the next in the series.

action packed with very believable characters. the narrator was very good with a variety of accents

Interesting story line. BEWARE. They switch narrator in book 3. I do not like when narrators are switched

LAAAAAME!

If you thought The A Team was great action with plausible plots, this book might be right at your level.

A couple hours in I found it about as inauthentic as an 80's cop-buddy movie.
