When the grandson of the great Herring King is found dead in a newly renovated pilot house on the beautiful island of Smögen, Nathalie Colette and Sandra Haraldsson are first on the scene.

Ruled as a suicide, the case baffles them as the victim was set to inherit the large fortune from his father who has just passed away.

Anna Ihrén grew up in Stockholm and Gothenburg but spent her childhood summers on the island of Smögen. Her series of crime novels 'The Smögen Murders' has become very popular, 'The Man on the Beach' being the first book in the series.
