Jack is ruined!

When did the author decide to make Jack a bumbling imbecile? I can’t listen anymore. I actually purchased all of these books because I loved them so much. I regret the last few books! Jack is a trained operator with tremendous skills. He’s been kidnapped too many times to even be interesting, sucker punched, outsmarted, and missed glaringly obvious details that no soldier of his caliber would ever miss. It’s become truly absurd and it is so frustrating. I read and listen for entertainment not to be irritated to the point I have to turn it off. It’s become entirely too stupid for me. The guy is maybe 40 years old. And far too skilled to be made into such an idiot. What an absolute waste of a fabulous character and story. Utterly ridiculous.
