Rommey Clipper has been given the chance to earn back his lost life by serving as an editor of memories. After making a choice that ended his life, he is slowly mending his fate as he frees others to live new lives without their debilitating memories. The fact that no one remembers him after he performs the edit is just one of the drawbacks of the new existence he is living with his cat, Reddy, as he adds up the edits that will fulfill his obligation and set him free.
