I'll never forget Mouse

I wasn't really prepared for the roller coaster this story took me on, both mentally and emotionally. The moment I thought I could guess what was going to happen next, I was incredibly wrong. Mouse's story, told from her point of view, was touching, horrific, sad, with a scatter of hard-earned joyful moments. It left me with a bittersweet, haunted feeling. Not for the young or the faint of heart. Dark, gritty, roughly unexpected and strangely endearing, it was a good reminder that while it's easy to judge the surface (dog or person), and make assumptions, there's a whole origin story that has shaped them. Aaron's reading really brought this story to life, making each moment believable even when you didn't want to believe it.
