Loved it!!!!

This was really well written and such a delight to read. I was so intrigued with the scandal that I forgot this was also a love story. Both of the main characters were great although I would love to have a prequel of Catherine’s story. This was my first book by Lee Winter and I will definitely be reading more. Stand by for the first hour. Great book.

I am not kidding. This book started pretty slow and I actually glanced at my phone and saw an hour had passed and I still wasn’t invested in the story. I love Lee Winter and my patience definitely paid off. This is one entertaining, witty and clever book. Not my favorite from winter (requiem😍) but definitely great book. I wish this author had a larger inventory. The best in the business for sure.

The narrator is not my favorite but the story is great despite it.

On to the sequel 👌🏽

Wish I read this sooner

I’ve been putting off reading this book for so long for no particular reason. It was so good, I loved the plot and usually I’m not even a “plot” person, I just live for the romance, but the plot in this book had me intrigued and invested. The slow burn romance was also great of course but for the first time it’s not the only thing I praise

Suspense and romance

This was really good. The story really draws the reader in and keeps them guessing. The mystery and intrigue outweighed the romance in the best of ways. I love how the author subtly weaves and builds the relationship.

Great plot

Loved the story but had a problem w narrator's interpretation of Catherine Ayers voice as an over-the-top snooty, entitled mix of Samantha from Sex and the City, and Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island. Because of this, I never bought into the romance.
