Truly enjoyed listening to the classics, probably should have hired an actor or actress. But was still kind of cool to hear the authors actual voice.

I have listened to two of the stories and enjoyed hearing the stories from Roald Dahl himself.

1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
This book has you thinking about and imagining the chocolate that is described and also takes you into the world of the little boy who craves to be in the chocolate factory. It has something for everyone and also serves as a good example for children (since it does have some hidden lessons).

2. James and the Giant Peach
This story was enjoyable and takes you into a different world (the Giant Peach). I would think this story is very good for a child's imagination too.

Delightful! Wonderful listen with my granddaughter in the tent! Thoroughly magical. Dahl narrates wonderfully.a real treat.

Laughed out loud….and I am old!

Dahl is still fun for me, even in my retirement years. So entranced to hear his own voice, that I could overlook abridged versions. He certainly knew the traditions of great European fairy tales. 💖
