Not My Favorite

Not my favorite by Ann Cleeves. Confusing plot lines and main female character didn’t generate much empathy. Hannah was annoying to me.

Great listen

Immersive mystery with likeable characters . Great narrator, clever plotting. I liked it so much I am sorry it’s a standalone Mystery.

Too long for ending

Good narration but a convoluted story. Usually like her stuff but ghought this was so so

Characters were not formulaic.

The plot was complicated and challenging. I did not predict the finale. Ann Cleeves was a great writer early on.

Brilliant story telling!

This "page turner" had me hooked from the start. I wasn't confused by the amount of characters, (sometimes I get lost if there are too many people to focus on) The backstories of each are so detailed. The twist at the end... brilliant!
