Malaika's story questions the concepts of twin flames, soul mates, and karmic relationships. It provokes the listener to think of his or her own experiences and find the lessons he or she needed to learn. It teaches men and women that heartbreak and loss is a part of life's journey and should be embraced as these experiences are lessons that move us up the spiritual ladder. It also emphasizes the importance of forgiveness: forgiveness of self and the people who have hurt us. In the end, Malaika learns what love is by first learning what it is not.

I love how the author introduced the theory of twin flames, soul mates and karmic connections. The story telling was compelling and gentle enough not to “spook” the non-spiritual yet intriguing enough for those that have heard the terms to want to learn more about it.
Excellent story line. I enjoyed every minute!
