Chloe crafted a brilliant story surrounding our protagonist, Astraea. A girl who has no memory before the last 5 years. Mysteries abound in this tale while Astraea is learning to break off chains, come into her own confidence, and to fight for freedom.

The Stars Are Dying is narrated by Corvin King & Jacci Prior, duet style. They did a phenomenal job! One of my favorite audio listens of 2025!

I immensely enjoyed this story and can’t wait to jump into book 2, The Night is Defying!

I was all over the place trying to figure out Nyte, he wasnt what I thought, but his story line really grabbed me in. I loved all the characters & had my emotions everywhere. Im a die hard fan now. #Nytesgirl #starlight

Delivered on the Story

Really enjoyed the audiobook! I felt like the story really delivered on the back cover copy. You got a lot of star crossed, lovers, trials, and an incredibly interesting slobber romance. Unique characters! Highly recommend, listening rather than reading.

Slow start, but hoping it picks up in book 2

This is more of a 3.5 overall rating for me. I wasn’t a fan in the beginning, and I almost DNF’d because I really didn’t feel like there was a discernible direction for quite a while into the story. It’s very similar to ACOTAR if you also add in celestials and vampires which, honestly, is… a lot. There are a lot of players and you don’t really know what’s going on or what anyone’s motivations are until the end, and even then it’s not completely clear. That being said, I am still intrigued. The stars are dying, and I want to know why. I want to know what’s going to happen next. I want to more about Nyte and his motivations. I’m curious about Astraea’s power and what that means for her. So, I’m definitely going to read the next book, and see where things land. I’m hoping the rest of the story goes in a more original direction so I’m willing to give it a shot. I did enjoy the narrators though. Corvin King is always a 5 star narrator for me, and I really liked Jacci Prior as well. Honestly, the two of them are why I stuck it out as long as I did. So, their performances get 5 stars for sure.

I really enjoyed the story as a whole and the narration was so good! They did excellent casting the voice of all the male characters.
