Thoroughly unlikeable main character

This is the first GS book I have actively disliked. From the beginning, the flippant behavior of Clover was off-putting. When combined with the snarky tone of the narrator, it made the whole book distasteful. I will read GS again, but I will avoid the narrator until she learns how to look up pronunciations of words she isn't familiar with.
