No mention of efforts to help Jews escape from the Germans. I have been to the museum of the Dutch resistance in Amsterdam.

Haunting & harrowing

This historical fiction about a family during the Holocaust is sad, emotional, & gripping. Absolutely breaks your heart. The narration is great & leaves you riveted. Definitely left me wiping a few tears.

The realism of the narrative!

Very good account of the horrors and degradation suffered by the Jewish people! Well researched and well written novel. I enjoyed it immensely!
