A stunning woman. A secret cabal of torture. Can she survive long enough to escape?

Avril Gillios keeps herself in top physical condition. Her marathon running and healthy lifestyle unexpectedly connected her to an ancient sex trafficking ring. Little does she know she's about to be purchased...

As the head of the powerful Consortium, Sir exudes power, confidence, and male charm. When he purchases Avril for his own secret pleasures, he shivers at the thought of orchestrating her delicious screams.

Handcuffed to Sir's dark desires, Avril's only chance for survival depends on thoroughly pleasing her intrigued master. As the man's twisted pleasures expand, can Avril endure long enough to outwit the sadistic punisher or will her tight tether be the last thing she sees?

This was a captivating story. It had just enough shock factor to keep me on the edge of my seat while also pulling at my emotional heartstrings. Avril was a strong FMC who knew how to survive and negotiate when she had the chance…but she was truly put through the wringer.

While parts of the story felt a bit unrealistic, it held my attention so well that I never wanted to stop listening.

My only real complaint was the virtual voice narration. It was actually better than I expected, but for a story this powerful, it really deserved human narrators. Having both a male and female narrator would have made the emotional moments feel much more real and immersive. The virtual voice wasn’t bad…it just couldn’t quite capture the intensity of the tough, challenging, and emotional scenes.

I even found myself rewinding several parts just to imagine how they would sound and feel with real voice actors.

Overall, I do highly recommend reading this book (though I’d suggest reading it rather than listening to the audiobook). It’s definitely one I’ll remember.

Captivating story

I obviously did not care for where the story went. although the synopsis hints about heroism and courage and all of that, there's nothing in this book that would lead to anything close to a happy ever after, or even a hope of intelligence or humanity winning out . No one comes to the rescue , No one escapes and comes back to help the rest. There are no heroes here. The main character is a disgusting bottom feeder who should be put out of his misery with a bullet through his simpleton brain. All of these sick parasites should get theirs, one way or the other. There were about fifty endings that could have made this book a better read, a better storyline. Turning her into a murdering abuser ready to destroy other people's lives along side her so called master was the worst ending a Narcissist could've thought of.

Don't believe it. No heroes. She gives up, becoming the abuser in the end.
