Seventeen-year-old Layna is a Uniter, a guard, a former soldier, a former constable. She is a highly capable girl in a world where the first Paranormal War left the country torn. It is no longer the United States of America, but the Regions of America. The military has taken over the government and paranormals are either imprisoned, or hidden away. Layna has no idea that she, too, is a paranormal. The goal of the Uniters is to free the country. Layna plans to free her mother and brother from their unjust imprisonment, then to remain free with the man she has fallen head of heels for. Will the Naturals or the Uniters win the coming war?
