The Vault

Inspector Peter Diamond Investigation Series, Book 6

A skeletal hand is unearthed in the vault under the Pump Room in Bath, England, near the site where Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein. Then a skull is excavated. The bones came from different corpses, and one is modern. Detective Superintendent Peter Diamond must solve a series of crimes including murder and forgery, requiring a knowledge of history, 19th-century art, literature...and human nature.

The reader was excellent and kept the story flowing at a good pace I will seek out another book by this author

Totally fun. Smart, funny, clever. Love the characterization, decent plotting, worth the time (and I’m picky.)

Good until end

90% of the book was interesting. However, the ending was wrapped up quickly and took away from the rest of the book. Unimpressed with Michael Healy,s reading - Peter Diamond voice poorly done. Would have preferred the narrator from the second book in the series.
