voice was good

I thought I was buying the real book not one that was half of the story. by the time I realized I had selected an abridged version it was too late. Not worth the loss of a credit

Not a Complete Version

This is not a complete version of this book, I would advise to get the new more complete version.

terrible abridgement.

one of my favorite books. liked the reader. but the abridgement was completely Cliff Notes.

enjoy the interaction

always enjoy stories with dragons, the interactions between men and dragons are great. throw in the fire dragons as well. Pern has always been one of the best

Abridged for Children

I didn't realize this was an abridged version when I purchased it. I read this book 30 years ago and knew there were key parts missing from the story. Though the description does not state it, I believe this is a children's version. The parts that were removed are very tame by "Young Adult" standard.
