My first novel by Ray, I was impressed with her storytelling and clever plotting. Her writing is laced with subtle tension. Gabby, a restless empty-nester, sets off a treacherous game of cat-and-mouse with a mysterious younger woman, Ellis. After a drunken confession that she wants her husband dead; let the games begin! As Gabby digs into Ellis’ true identity and her husband's secrets, the lines between truth and deception blur. Take it from me, “The Younger Woman” is an intricate British mystery.
