"Them That Are Called" by J.G. Parker was absolutely amazing. The character development was where the book truly shone—watching the growth of the protagonist, intertwined with the layered stories within stories, was nothing short of masterful. The world-building was breathtaking—Parker transported us to an alien yet hauntingly grounded planet, with each character leaving a lasting impression. The use of real Earth locations intertwined with the fantasy made the journey feel both epic and intimate.
It felt like I was traversing both alien lands and forgotten corners of our own world. In short, this book was a revelation—a must-read for anyone craving deep, meaningful sci-fi.
