BETH LAPIDES executive produced and hosted Un-Cabaret for Comedy Central. She hosts and curates the Un-Cabaret, Say the Word and the Other Network. She is commentator for NPR's All Things Considered and The Huffington Post, and she had her own daily talk show on Comedy World Radio.

This piece was recorded at Un-Cabaret's series "Say the Word", featuring great comedy writers reading their own original first-person nonfiction at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
