Enjoyable

Enjoyable read. Fairly predictable, but a nice Viking time travel story, which is exactly what I was looking for.

The narration is dual. Tim Campbell had a great accent, and Marian Hussey did a great job voicing the FMC. Her male voice and his female voice did leave a bit to be desired though. If it had been done in duet narration I think it would have been perfect!

I love Timothy Campbell!

The female narrator sounded too close to Steve Erkel. The story was good, but I won’t listen to the rest of the series because her.

good story with good narration

This was a good story with good narration. I had a hard time with the female protagonist, both her story and the voice by the narrator. She just seemed so whiney which I guess is how modern women are? I’m also not really fond of the whole feminist girl boss trope. Overall, I enjoyed the story. I even got emotional at one point.

I’ve listened to both narrators before. Tim has a pleasantly deep baritone and Marion has a slightly whiney tone which I guess suited this character well.

unique story line

the regional voice acsents were very off but still very entertaining wish the romantic scenes were more descriptive and plentiful kept my interest

An “OK” book from an excellent author

I loved Mariah Stone’s Highlander series. Not so much this first book in the Vikings Series. I’m hoping that other books in the series are more engaging and exciting. Giving the book a 3 because Mariah Stone is excellent and this book was “ok”.
