Maybe Best as an YA Offering?

Hummm...almost. Interesting premise that could have been a compelling story. Not particularly well written. The narration did not work for me at all, robotic and annoying.
I think it might interest middle school kids.

Ok idea - not very well executed. Narrators voice and inflections got annoying and became chalk on a board … the premise of the book was interesting but the story was kind of scattered it felt like back to back unfinished thoughts …. I did read it all the way through though so that’s something

A lot of nothing

I loved the start of this book. So much potential in the subject matter. But it quickly deteriorated to a very bland and undeveloped book with a rushed ending, Felt like the author had a great idea without the imagination to do it justice.

Sci-fi without shoot em up battles

I appreciate a sci-fi book that does not involve violent battles and the saving of humanity. This is a story set in the fairly near future where brain implants that enhance perceptions become all the rage Is it safe? Is it a good idea?
It's told from the point of view of a "2 Moms" family with 2 teenage kids. I cared about the characters and the well constructed storyline. Fun interesting read. I wasn't sure I like the narrator but she grew on me.
