Reconciling the existence of God and evil has been a long-standing conundrum in Christian theology, yet a philosophical approach—rather than a theological one—dominates the discussion. Turning to the Bible's grand storyline, Scott Christensen examines how sin, evil, corruption, and death fit into the broad outlines of redemptive history. He argues that God's ultimate end in creation is to magnify his glory to his image-bearers, most notably by defeating evil through the atoning work of Christ.

From our world, to the pre-fallen state, to future glory. This book covers it all from every angle why evil must exist and how God is using it for His glory. Also covers theology of Christ I didn’t know before like kenosis. A must listen to a few times to fully grasp how to answer those who either mock God, or want to learn why was this allowed to happen?

What about Evil? A lot to process

A fantastic introduction to theodicy, and an absolutely incredible work for anyone struggling with things like God's sovereignty, the existence of evil and understanding how the God who is Good, Just and Love can possibly allow a world where there's such "gratuitous evil". If you've ever considered these things, been struck by supposed contradictions of morality in the world, or even if you're completely stuck trying to reconcile why there's so much suffering in the world, this book does a phenomenal job explaining in an edifying manner that always gives all glory to God.

Amazing, must read.
