Excellent book in every way!

Enjoyed this story completely. Engaging characters and a plot that kept me hooked, without the distraction of the profanity that is so "normal" in most novels today. Absolutly refreshing! I intend to read every book Rick Acker has written. Jane Jacobs did a great job with naration.

Suspenseful and interesting

Suspenseful and interesting. Had me on the edge of my seat without the inappropriate language and sexual content. Just a smidgen of romance.

The devil is in the details

this book was ok for a long drive. Not enough foreshadowing for the ending ... in my opinion.

NARRATOR: when you speak the name of an obscure town like Salina, KS, be sure you pronounce it correctly. Salina has a 'long I'm rather than long 'e'.

overall a decent read.

no good guys or read poorly?

I loved the other two books of the writers I listened to on on audible. This one I am struggling to finish. 20 chapters in and I find no likable characters and I do not know who the good guys are - it seems like the main character is also not likeable. There are a lot of male characters and the reader is not good at voices which help us to differentiate them. A disappointing audio book.

Not a Christian Fiction

I love Christian Fiction. I search for them all the time. I was excited to when I selected this book. I was disappointed when I realized I wasted a credit on it. It was not Christian at all. Mentioning God or having characters who go to church does not make a book Christian Fiction. Very disappointing!
