Will It Be Us?

As I showered, I thought about my mama’s wedding ring in my top sock drawer under my Dan Marino magazines, the greatest QB of all time in my opinion, cannot change my mind. That ring had been passed down through generations and if there was one thing I knew, even more so than football, was that Christy Jackson loved me and I loved her more than anything and that never would change. So regardless of this game or what college I go to or if I just follow my dad’s footsteps and stay on the farm, I am going to marry Christy Nicole Jackson. And that ring was hers. So, champion, or not, after the game, I am asking her to marry me, right there where the Dallas Cowboys play on Sundays. Dad knows. He also knows despite what he says, nothing, not even football will keep me from Christy.

What an amazing story! The way it was written truly drew me in to feel like I was there on the football field, on the farm, in the house! Their relationship truly evolved throughout the story and had me on the edge of my seat!
