When I tell you I was in a full-on spiral with this one, I’m not exaggerating. My mind was working overtime, my heart was racing, breaking, and yes…my eyes were absolutely leaking. It was easily one of the best rides I’ve had so far this year.

I don’t want to spoil anything, so just take my level of enthusiasm as your sign to add this to your list. I really think this is one you should go into blind. That said, it does touch on some heavy themes, so please read safely and check your triggers if you need to.

The writing is spectacular! The way Larissa strings her words together feels almost effortless but hits so hard. It’s honestly kind of magical. ✨

I did an immersive read for this one, and the audio was PHENOMENAL. I highly recommend experiencing it that way if you can. Shiloh and Sean just absolutely crushed it…and crushed my heart.

And that cliffhanger? BRUTAL. I will be dropping everything the second Act Two is available.

Easily one of my top reads of the year.

baby Reindeer on steroids

if you're drawn to the dark, twisted type stories, this is top notch for you. sadly, it's not for me otherwise I would've definitely given it 5 stars. the story is gripping, suspenseful... the narration is impeccable (thank God for duet narration). I just don't enjoy the anxiety that comes with suspense. but I when I saw Sean masters as the male narrator, and duet-style narration I blindly added the audiobook. but even after realizing my mistake, the two main characters, especially Linc, will suck you in (a testament to sean master's performance). and even though I had a pretty decent idea of where the story was heading, i still needed to know what happened to him. again if you're into the dark twisted type material, this is for you.
