Worst. Narrator. Ever.
Poorly edited - places where narrator stumbles should have been edited out.

really worthwhile

Despite the inferior sound at. Times, I personally really enjoyed this Victorian novel.
The memorable characters really opened a new world for me.
Give it some time. I would rank it with Wilie Collins’ The Woman in White.
