This is a parasitic bond. At least that is what people tell Zander. He has spent a lifetime trying to bleach the scent of "monster" from his skin. His adoptive father's words were the first seeds of a parasitic shame. Now they have matured into a forest he cannot escape.

His father was a bitter and ruthless man. Zander always stayed under his thumb. He was even forced to tell an innocent lie that sent his best friend to jail.

Vadim went to jail, but he came back.

Now Vadim is back from the dark. He is not looking for a lawyer. He is looking for blood. Zander's blood.

But one steamy night has turned Zander's love into a terminal obsession. Zander needs to figure it out. Is he trying to lead Vadim toward the light? He is unaware that some things only thrive in the damp and suffocating dark.
