Gem from history

I waited a long time before watching the series Pacific. By that time I had listened to many of the books the story was assembled from. After watching I looked for more and this book while short was a great addition to the saga.

Very geniune

This story fits with other true books I have read. Some of the incidents told are also told in other books.

Funniest, first person account of World War II, I’ve read!

A very well told story, but a guy whose “been there, done that.“. I wish I found this book sooner.
