Upon arrival, Maggie is devastated to learn her intended groom has married someone else. Stranded in a strange town, she’s taken in by kind widow Harriet Barnett. Just as Maggie begins to settle into her new life, Harriet’s health declines, and her brooding grandson Sam arrives for the holidays. Maggie and Sam clash, their differences stark, but when a harsh winter storm strikes, they must rely on each other for survival.
