  • The Battle of Gog Decoded Part 3: When Does the Battle of Gog Happen? - Episode 278
    Apr 13 2026
In Episode 278 of the Bible Mysteries Podcast, Scott Mitchell and John Potts conclude their three-part series on the Battle of Gog Decoded by examining one of the most important—and often misunderstood—questions: when does this prophecy actually take place? Building on the foundation laid in Parts 1 and 2, this episode focuses on the timing of the Gog and Magog events described in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Rather than relying on speculation or modern assumptions, the discussion carefully follows the sequence of Scripture to identify key markers that reveal when this battle occurs. A central point in this episode is the distinction between two separate battles of Gog—one that takes place before the tribulation period and another described in Revelation 20 at the end of the millennial reign of Christ. By comparing these passages, Scott explains why these events cannot be the same and how their differences help clarify the prophetic timeline. The episode also highlights a critical turning point in Ezekiel 39: after this battle, Israel will know that the Lord is their God. This moment marks a spiritual awakening and restoration that has not yet occurred, indicating that the prophecy remains future. Scott and John also explore the idea that this “battle” may not be limited to a traditional military invasion. Instead, they consider whether it could involve a deeper form of conflict—one connected to identity, deception, and the separation between true and false Israel. Drawing from biblical patterns such as the Samaritans, Jacob and Esau, and the concept of tares among the wheat, this discussion opens the door to a broader understanding of what this event may represent. This episode challenges listeners to move beyond surface-level interpretations and to consider the full scope of what Scripture reveals about the last days, God’s sovereignty, and the restoration of His people. Key Scriptures (KJV) Ezekiel 39:22–29Ezekiel 38:23Hosea 5:15Isaiah 59:20Revelation 20:7–10Matthew 13:24–30 Topics Covered Timing of Gog and MagogTwo distinct battles in ScriptureDifferences between Ezekiel and Revelation 20Israel’s future recognition of the LordGod hiding His face and restoring His peopleThe concept of true vs. false IsraelTares among the wheatSpiritual vs. military interpretations of prophecyThe prophetic timeline leading into the tribulation Takeaway The battle of Gog is not just about nations—it is about God revealing Himself to His people. Understanding its timing requires careful attention to Scripture, not assumptions based on current events. The Battle of Gog Decoded (Part 3): When Will Gog Be Defeated and Israel Restored? • The Earth Out of Course: Why the World Is in Chaos and God’s Judgment Is Coming
    Apr 12 2026
In this message, we examine what Scripture reveals about the condition of our world—why it appears unstable, confused, and increasingly chaotic. The Bible describes this condition as the earth being out of course, a result of both spiritual deception and mankind’s rejection of God’s truth. We look at Psalm 82 and God’s judgment against the “gods,” or fallen angels, who failed in their role and instead led humanity into darkness. This deception has contributed to a world filled with violence, confusion, and moral collapse—conditions that mirror the days of Noah. This lesson also explores how humanity has transgressed God’s laws, changed His ordinances, and broken the everlasting covenant, leading to a defiled earth under a coming judgment. Yet in the midst of this, God offers a way of escape through Jesus Christ. Though judgment is certain, so is God’s mercy. He is not willing that any should perish but calls all to repentance before the coming Day of the Lord. Key Scripture References (KJV) Psalm 82:1, 5–7 “God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods… They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.” Genesis 6:11–13 “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence… for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” Isaiah 13:11, 13 “And I will punish the world for their evil… Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place.” Isaiah 24:5–6 “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” 2 Timothy 3:1–5 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come…” Romans 1:21–25 “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God… and changed the truth of God into a lie…” Acts 17:30–31 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.” Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God…” 1 Timothy 2:3–6 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Peter 3:9–10 “The Lord is… long suffering… not willing that any should perish… But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.” John 3:16–19 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” Topics Covered What it means that the earth is out of courseThe role of fallen angels in spiritual deceptionWhy humanity walks in darknessParallels between today and the days of NoahTransgressing God’s laws and changing His ordinancesThe coming judgment of fireThe power of Satan behind global confusionGod’s call to repentance in the present ageSalvation through Jesus Christ as the only escape Takeaway The chaos we see in the world is not random—it is the result of a deeper spiritual problem. Scripture reveals that the earth is out of course due to deception and rebellion against God. Yet even now, God offers hope. Through Jesus Christ, anyone can be delivered from darkness and spared from the coming judgment. Don’t wait. Today is the accepted time. • The Battle of Gog Decoded, Part 2: Who Is Gog and Where Is Magog? - Episode 277
    Apr 6 2026
In Episode 277 of the Bible Mysteries Podcast, Scott Mitchell and John Potts continue their study of the Gog and Magog prophecy by taking a closer look at Ezekiel 38 and 39—focusing on the identity of Gog, the land of Magog, and the timing of these events. With increasing speculation about modern conflicts being tied to this prophecy, this episode moves beyond assumption and carefully examines what the Bible actually says. Building on Part 1, the discussion emphasizes the importance of letting Scripture define its own terms rather than forcing current events into prophetic passages. A key focus in this episode is the distinction between two separate battles involving Gog. By comparing Ezekiel with Revelation 20, Scott explains why these cannot be the same event and how one appears to occur prior to the tribulation while the other takes place at the end of the millennial reign of Christ. The episode also explores the meaning of key names such as Meshech, Tubal, and Magog, addressing common claims that attempt to directly link these to modern nations like Russia. Instead, the teaching highlights their historical and geographical context, pointing toward regions associated with Asia Minor while cautioning against oversimplified conclusions. Another significant element discussed is the supernatural nature of God’s intervention. This is not a conventional war—God Himself defeats the invading forces, demonstrating His power in a way that causes the nations to recognize Him. Yet, unlike the final battle described in Revelation, a remnant of the invading force remains, raising important questions about the role this event plays in what follows. The phrase “those who dwell carelessly” is also examined, offering insight into a condition of false security that characterizes the last days. This description invites believers to consider not just geography, but spiritual readiness. This episode continues to build a careful, Scripture-based understanding of Gog and Magog—reminding us that prophecy is not meant to be driven by speculation, but by the Word of God. Key Scriptures (KJV) Ezekiel 38:18–23Ezekiel 39:1–7Revelation 20:7–10Genesis 10:2 Topics Covered Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38–39Two distinct battles of GogDifferences between Ezekiel and Revelation 20Identity of Gog and the land of MagogMeshech and Tubal in biblical geographyMisinterpretation of modern nations in prophecyGod’s supernatural intervention in battleThe meaning of “dwelling carelessly”Prophetic timing and the last days Takeaway Understanding Gog and Magog requires careful study of Scripture, not assumptions based on current events. I love how these podcasts answer questions most pastors shy away from or just tell you...pray for answers or study the scriptures. If you have a study Bible with commentary you might notice that some of the scriptures here have no explanation. I encourage listeners to follow along in the scriptures here. It makes it much more understandable. These podcasts are getting me back into my beloved Bible!

I am loving these podcasts!

I like how the Pastor breaks down the scripture so that it’s clear and understandable. I have been a Christian all my life and listening to these episodes has given me so much more understanding of the full picture than I’ve ever had.
You really do need to be ready to take the red-pill, if your a closed minded person you’ll never be able to fully understand the Bible and what God is doing and why.
Keep up the great work. This is needed in the days we live in.

These are a must listen!
