ESQUEMA

En el Evangelio de hoy, Juan el Bautista explica la grandeza de Aquel que viene del cielo. Jesús habla con autoridad divina, revela la verdad de Dios y ofrece vida eterna a todos los que creen en Él. Este pasaje nos llama a confiar en Cristo, escuchar su palabra y responder con fe.

Evangelio – Juan 3,31–36 (parafraseado):

Juan el Bautista explicó a sus discípulos que Aquel que viene del cielo está por encima de todos. Los que son de la tierra hablan de manera limitada y humana, pero el que viene del cielo habla con autoridad divina.

Él da testimonio de lo que ha visto y oído verdaderamente de Dios, pero muchos aún rechazan su testimonio. Sin embargo, quienes aceptan su mensaje afirman que Dios es veraz.

El enviado de Dios habla las mismas palabras de Dios, porque ha recibido el Espíritu plenamente y sin medida. El Padre ama profundamente al Hijo y ha puesto todo en sus manos.

Quien cree en el Hijo recibe la vida eterna. Pero quien rechaza creer no recibirá la vida y permanece separado de Dios.

Señor Jesús,

Tú vienes del cielo

y revelas la verdad del Padre.

y a creer con corazones sinceros.

Fortalece nuestra fe,

especialmente cuando nos cuesta comprender.

Llénanos de tu Espíritu,

para que vivamos según tu verdad

y te sigamos fielmente cada día.

Acércanos más a Ti,

para que participemos de la vida eterna

que prometes a todos los que creen.

OUTLINE

In today’s Gospel, John the Baptist explains the greatness of the one who comes from heaven. Jesus speaks with divine authority, reveals God’s truth, and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him. This passage calls us to trust in Christ, listen to His word, and respond in faith.

Gospel – John 3:31–36 (paraphrased):

John the Baptist explained to his disciples that the one who comes from heaven is above everyone else. Those who belong to the earth speak in a limited, human way, but the one who comes from heaven speaks with divine authority.

He bears witness to what he has truly seen and heard from God, yet many people still reject his testimony. However, those who do accept his message are affirming that God is truthful.

The one sent by God speaks God’s very words, because he has received the Spirit fully and without limit. The Father deeply loves the Son and has placed everything into his hands.

Whoever believes in the Son receives eternal life. But whoever refuses to believe will not receive life and remains separated from God.

RESUMEN

El pasaje del Evangelio de hoy revela la profundidad del amor de Dios por el mundo, mostrado a través del don de Su único Hijo, Jesucristo. Nos recuerda que Jesús no vino para juzgar o condenar, sino para traer salvación y luz a la oscuridad de nuestras vidas, invitándonos a creer y vivir en la verdad.

EVANGELIO

Jesús dijo a Nicodemo: “Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que dio a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna. Dios no envió a su Hijo al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para que el mundo sea salvo por él. El que cree en él no es condenado; pero el que no cree ya está condenado, porque no ha creído en el nombre del Hijo único de Dios. Este es el juicio: la luz vino al mundo, pero los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz, porque sus obras eran malas. Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo aborrece la luz y no viene a la luz, para que sus obras no sean reprendidas. Pero el que practica la verdad viene a la luz, para que sea manifiesto que sus obras son hechas en Dios.”

GOSPEL

Jesus said to Nicodemus, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is already condemned, because they have not believed in the name of God’s only Son. This is the judgment: the light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Those who do evil hate the light and avoid it, so their deeds are not exposed. But those who live by the truth come into the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their works are done through God.”

ESQUEMA

En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús enseña a Nicodemo sobre la necesidad de “nacer de lo alto” por medio del Espíritu. Explica que el renacimiento espiritual es una obra misteriosa pero esencial de Dios, así como el viento sopla sin ser visto. Jesús revela que Él, que ha bajado del cielo, será elevado como la serpiente de bronce en el desierto, para que todo el que crea en Él tenga vida eterna.

Evangelio: Juan 3,7-15

Texto del Evangelio:

«Nadie ha subido al cielo sino el Hijo del hombre que ha bajado del cielo».

Jesús dijo a Nicodemo:

«No te sorprendas de que te haya dicho:

Tenéis que nacer de lo alto.

El viento sopla donde quiere;

oyes su ruido,

pero no sabes de dónde viene ni adónde va.

Así es todo el que ha nacido del Espíritu».

Nicodemo le preguntó: «¿Cómo puede ser eso?».

Jesús le respondió: «Tú eres maestro en Israel, ¿y no sabes estas cosas?

En verdad, en verdad te digo:

hablamos de lo que sabemos

y damos testimonio de lo que hemos visto,

pero vosotros no aceptáis nuestro testimonio.

Si no creéis cuando os hablo de las cosas de la tierra,

¿cómo creeréis cuando os hable de las cosas del cielo?

Nadie ha subido al cielo

sino el que bajó del cielo,

el Hijo del hombre.

Y así como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto,

así tiene que ser levantado el Hijo del hombre,

para que todo el que cree tenga en él vida eterna».

Nicodemus said to him, ‘How can these things be?’ Jesus answered him, ‘Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.’

ESQUEMA

En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús enseña a Nicodemo sobre la necesidad de “nacer de lo alto” para entrar en el reino de Dios. Este renacimiento espiritual, por el agua y el Espíritu, resalta el poder transformador del bautismo y del Espíritu Santo en nuestro camino de fe.

Evangelio: Juan 3,1-8

Texto del Evangelio:

«Si uno no nace de lo alto, no puede ver el reino de Dios».

Había un fariseo llamado Nicodemo, un magistrado judío.

Este fue a Jesús de noche y le dijo: «Rabí, sabemos que has venido de Dios como maestro, porque nadie puede hacer los signos que tú haces si Dios no está con él».

Jesús le respondió:

«En verdad, en verdad te digo:

unless a man is born from above,

‘I tell you most solemnly,

unless a man is born through water and the Spirit,

he cannot enter the kingdom of God:

what is born of the flesh is flesh;

what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Do not be surprised when I say:

You must be born from above.

The wind blows wherever it pleases;

you hear its sound,

but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.

That is how it is with all who are born of the Spirit.’
