Where do you get wisdom when you really need it?

In this teaching, Coach Tom walks through a powerful and often overlooked source of wisdom—your own life experiences. God is actively shaping you through both the highs and the lows, and learning to reflect on those moments can unlock clarity, healing, and direction for your future.

You’ll discover how your experiences form your beliefs, how your beliefs drive your decisions, and how that cycle shapes your life outcomes. More importantly, you’ll learn how to break unhealthy patterns and align your life with God’s truth and perspective.

This session introduces a practical tool—mapping your life through “significant emotional events”—to help you:

    • Recognize how God has been at work in your story
    • Identify key moments that shaped your identity and responses
    • Process both positive and painful experiences with God
    • Develop deeper self-awareness and spiritual discernment
    • Stay “up to date” emotionally and spiritually—no longer ambushed by unprocessed pain or false beliefs

As you reflect with God, your history becomes more than memories—it becomes wisdom, testimony, and a personal language with Him.

This is how you get clear… so you can move forward with focus and fruitfulness.

    Next Steps:
Take time to map your life. Identify key emotional moments. Invite God into those memories—and let Him give you His perspective.

Your past is not wasted. It’s being shaped into wisdom for your future.

“God Is Findable: A Real Conversation on Pain, Purpose, and Hearing His Voice”

In this episode of Greater Formation & Power, Coach Tom sits down with Sarah Shaw—a creative entrepreneur and emerging leader with a passion to help her generation encounter God in a real and personal way.

Sarah shares her journey from a questioning, multi-denominational upbringing to a deep, hard-won faith shaped through suffering, identity crisis, and honest wrestling with God. After a severe autoimmune health breakdown in her teens, she faced years of pain, isolation, and confusion—forcing her to confront deeper questions of identity, purpose, and God’s presence.

Through that season, Sarah began learning how to hear God’s voice, steward hardship, and move beyond surface-level Christianity into authentic relationship. Today, she leads creative and entrepreneurial initiatives that explore the intersection of theology, psychology, and creativity—helping others “wrestle well” and discover that God is truly accessible.

    This conversation explores:

    • How suffering can become a catalyst for identity and formation
    • What it actually means to hear God’s voice
    • The danger of shallow, cultural Christianity
    • Why “wrestling with God” is essential for real faith
    • The importance of being willing to step back, heal, and be “benched” in leadership
    • Practical ways to encounter God personally in everyday life

If you’ve ever felt stuck, confused, or distant from God—this episode will help you re-engage with honesty, depth, and hope.

👉 God is not distant. He is findable.

  • 075. An Interview with Andre Cajeron: From Hidden Pain ... to Authentic Worship
    Mar 20 2026

In this episode of Greater Formation & Power, Coach Tom talks with his longtime friend, student and coaching client, André Cajeron about identity, healing, calling, and learning to live with greater authenticity before God.

André shares his journey from Brazil to the United States, the confusion of trying to find his place in ministry, and how God gradually clarified his calling as a worship pastor. He opens up about painful childhood trauma, the long road of healing, and how hidden shame can distort identity and keep people isolated. He also reflects on how music became a deep language of expression, comfort, and connection with God.

This conversation is honest, tender, and full of hope. André also shares powerful spiritual encounters, lessons about fear and authenticity in ministry, and why healing often begins when we bring what is hidden into the light.

If you have ever struggled with shame, fear, confusion about your calling, or the temptation to wear a mask instead of living as your true self, this conversation will encourage you.

    In this interview, we explore:

    · healing from trauma and hidden shame

    · identity and authenticity in Christ

    · the long process of emotional and spiritual restoration

    · worship, contemplation, and intimacy with God

    · overcoming fear in ministry

    · holding on to God’s promises in hard seasons

    · how God forms us through pain, truth, and grace

This is a conversation about becoming who God truly made you to be.

    ........................................

Andre Cajeron is currently a worship pastor at Christ Community Church in Taunton, MA.

Born in Brazil, he is father to Becky, Debbie, and Izzie, and husband to Rosane for 21 years.
