This week I talk to Ronnie of Mantic Games. In this episode he gives us an update on what has been happening over the last 9 months since we last spoke and also talk about the current push from them in the shape of Dreadball All Stars. Dreadball All Stars is a sci fi sports game that you can play on your table top. I have always really enjoyed Blood Bowl and, as Ronnie mentions in the show this is not a competitor of, its more of a complimentary game that is in many ways opposite. Its Sci Fi, it plays a bit quicker, etc etc, I wont list all its quirks here, you can listen in. The Kickstarter campaign is in its last 48 hours as this show is released on April 7th, but you can bob into a late pledge at some point no doubt, or equally wait for it to be released in a retail version. I always find myself saying and thinking the same, but I really do feel that Mantic and Ronnie especially do a great job of creating really well thought out, good value, and well produced game for us to play, thanks guys, us hobby nerds really appreciate it.

Jo puts together really thoughtful and interesting videos designed to help up make better terrain, how to find hobby deals, and a whole bunch of other content too. This week I talk to Chris of the Ash and Stone YouTube channel. Its a channel I really enjoy as he focuses heavily on the narrative side of our hobby. He puts together narrative focused battle reports along with a wider variety of hobby content too. Its always great when you invite someone on and they are a really nice person too, and Chris really came across as a down to earth guy, the sort you'd love to play a game with.

This week I talk to Scott Radom about why he loves Star Wars Shatterpoint. I was a little bit turned off from Shatterpoint on release due to no crossover from Star Wars Legion, which I was pretty deep into, and also the special dioramas, promos, and other big marketing things I saw that made it seem like money may be more important than substance. So it was great to hear from Scott about all the things he likes about it, I dont think I am dropping everything to be involved with it, but I am more open to it than before. If you play it then give us a shout about all the things you like. Personally I like old school Star Wars, the first triology, so I am not too fussed about the shark dudes, bad company etc etc, cartoons and comics are not really what I personally like best about Star Wars, but it is great that the models for Shatterpoint are so diverse. It was great to have a reason to talk to Scott once more, amazing guy for sure. Hope you enjoy the chat.
