Bolivia is a largely Catholic country, but there are significant numbers of adherents to other religions and faiths, and many inhabitants practice syncretism with their ancestral religions. As a result, you never know what you're going to encounter when you engage someone for Christ. For Courtney, a love of the Bolivian people and a deep desire to see Christ glorified is the driving force behind her dedicated work there. The Lord called her to the field during a missions internship, after He caused her to see that though she professed faith as a very young child, she was still trusting in her good works to make her righteous before a holy God.
