Origins.

You know, I never looked at it that way before. But it’s SO true! We spend a lot of time babyproofing everything that we forget that the name we give is what’s going to be heard every day for the rest of the baby’s life. It should be meaningful and well thought out.

Great Resource

Choosing the right name for your child is very important because he or she will be stuck with it for a long time. I got this book for my friend who is expecting a girl. We played it during the baby shower and everyone got to pick a name from the book and put it in a basket for her. They had a few names picked out already of course but this gave them more options, the origin, and meaning of the names. The benefit was 3-fold: her present from me, a new game at the party and it gave her more options, she loved it!
