Tim Sharer became a mentor in 1989 when a student leader application literally hit him in the chest, thrown by a youth minister during a church service. Inspiring

12 Seconds is one of the best books I’ve ever read. The story that you will hear will leave you with so many emotions and will inspire you to to trust God through the tough times and lean on Him when it seems like you’re in the worst of it. The author Tim Sharer is my mentor and friend who has impacted my life so much and he speaks the truth and nothing but it.

I met Tim through my work and had no idea about his story. Honestly, I didn’t even read the reviews first. I just had to know why there was a mugshot on the cover!

It only took me a few days to finish because I couldn’t put it down. Tim’s storytelling is raw, honest, and deeply human. His ability to weave humor and humility, even through the hardest moments, had me both laughing and crying (often at the same time) along the way.

As someone who has faced my own battles, I resonated deeply with his message. The reminder that faith, family, and true friends hold us together when life shakes beneath us was exactly what I needed.

Tim’s transparency and strength are truly inspiring. You don’t just hear a story of survival, you experience a story of redemption and see God’s hand at work every step of the way.

If you’ve ever walked through a season that tested your faith or just need a reminder that grace is real and transformation is possible, this book will move you.

Great book. Powerful, honest, and emotional. Sharer’s story shows how fast life can change and how strong you have to be to fight through it. Definitely one of those reads that stays with you.
