Knowing Uncle Sam is about to come knocking, 21-year-old Jimmy Franks saves the government the cost of a stamp and preemptively enlists in the Navy. He loads up on stationery and pens, and with a heavy heart kisses his lovely bride good-bye. Leaving his precious Suzy is the hardest thing he's ever had to do. Pregnant and left alone to deal with their feuding families, Suzy Franks is heartbroken when Jimmy ships out for the Mariana Islands. Knowing Guam is considered safe and that she will eventually be able to join him offers her little solace. Suzy's mettle is put to the test. Her husband's letters of love brings comfort, but 15 W. Gibson is a lonely place without him.

What did you love best about 15 W. Gibson?

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jimmy and Suzy through the series of letters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The hero Jimmy because of his approach to different situations

Have you listened to any of Virginia Welch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I would again as I thoroughly enjoyed her narration

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were several moments that moved me.

Any additional comments?

If your looking for something different to listen too, these beautiful sweet love letters are a worthy listen but tissues will be needed
