Danielle thinks that the worst is behind her, but she couldn't have been more wrong...As a beauty editor of Denver's hot new High Life magazine, Danielle Starkey didn't have becoming a widow on her to-do list. Then nine months after her husband's death, she discovers he booked a vacation with another woman. Suddenly, Danielle sees Adam's death in a whole new light and has to get over it - for the second time. Hit with the truth when she least expects it, Danielle brings a fresh, funny, and honest approach to the grieving process as she struggles through online dating, stalking her dead husband's mistress, and, hopefully, finding the man of her dreams. With her stubborn and sassy best friend, April, by her side, Danielle refuses to let sleeping dogs lie. Will she finally face the truth about herself and her marriage? Or, will she succumb to one of the five stages of grief?

I didn't mind this book overall, but I spent so much time distracted by the fact that it sounded like the narrator was in her bedroom, bathroom, car, lounge room doing the narration. At one point I am 99% sure I heard someone doing dishes in the background. The sound levels vary so a few chapters will be at one volume and then you can hardly hear it for the next few. Editing wasn't the greatest and having 'end of chapter x' at the end of each chapter was a tad annoying. I feel a little bad as I didn't mind the overall narration style, it was just very distracting when I am used to 'standard' narration sound quality.

This read was more interesting then I expected. There were several reading mistakes, but overall it was a good read.

Unexpected

Hearing the sound of a chair scraping or sirens in the background was distracting enough, but the narrator's attempts to "act" out her role was horrendous. The only reason I listened through to the end was that I was on a long trip with nothing else downloaded.

Mediocre story with amateurish narration

The story is good and so is the performance, but the audio is very poor quality. I could tell she was reading the story very well, but there was background noise along with other bad quality audio.

Good story and performance...BAD audio quality

I couldn’t get pasted the poor recording. It sounded like she was recording it on her phone.
