The new 5G network are expected to be 100 times faster than current 4G networks and be able to connect faster to the network. Companies are now ready to explore what they could do with the old technology and the floodgates will open in 2020 as new handsets are rolled out. 5G will ensure that everything is connected 100 times the speed of 4G, lower delay when connecting, lower delay when transmitting data and more connected devices. The new format allows 1 million connections per square kilometre as against 1,000 for 4G. 5G will be fast enough for driverless cars, virtual reality or augmented reality on mobile phones. We may have 50 billion networked devices in the future very quickly and over 1 trillion Internet of Things (IOT) has been accepted. Smart Cities, HealthCare, eSports, Transport, Virtual Reality, Mobile payments, Autonomous Vehicles and new or invented disruptive technology. America alone will spend $100 billion rolling out the new 5G networks.
