Have you ever looked around your house and thought to yourself, "How did this mess happen?" It seems that the very essence of everyday life is enough to completely run down any home. After just a few days tables are cluttered, counter tops have become catch-alls, and you may begin to wonder to yourself what all this chaos says about you as a person.

Don't worry! You are not a terrible slob just because you may not have a natural gift for organization. A lot of the people who seem to have it all together haven't done so with just pure ingenuity and innate cleanliness - they have had access to training and tools to help them. Organization is a type of discipline, but it's also more than that.

To be truly organized takes a lot of consideration. You have to really assess and understand your surroundings. Sometimes it's accomplished intuitively, while other times you have to try hard to figure out what you can do to create a more liveable space for yourself.

This information didn't seem realistic to me, maybe I am more disorganized than most but isn't that the point of this handbook? Day 1 is to clean your entire house top to bottom. This advice already started me out behind the schedule which only added to my clutter stress since I can't clean my entire house ('top to bottom, windows and mirrors...'). Much of the advice read like an advertisement for Ikea and said to keep an eye out for more storage places. I believe most people who live in their homes long enough to become cluttered have already exhausted all potential storage. Wash dishes as you go, etc was hardly a revelation to me. Maybe if the title was 70 day DIY handbook it would be more realistic for me.

What a pretty pretty dream.
