An all-around excellent book. The narration was great, the flow was steady and clear and the narrator seemed to enjoy what he was reading and unsurprisingly. If you're going to squeeze a history as long, complex and accomplished as that of China into 74 mins you'd better do it well and the author frankly aced it! ..leaving nothing out whilst cramming everything into a highly entertaining, exciting and educational summary of China. I almost felt like I was listening to a mini-film.

Well researched and enthralling!

I found the book both interesting and engaging. An effortless listen and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an overview of China's history. The narrator provided such an authoritative voice, too.

My partner and I were lucky enough to visit China in 2016. We visited some beautiful landscapes and memorizing historic places. Now we are all geared up for our second trip after we have absorbed this outstanding factual title. It’s going to be so exciting now that we are educated more on the countries history of economics, accomplishments, conflicts and even architectural marvels. Highly recommended audio title 5/5

Heading out on second trip!

If you want to learn about the history of China, this is the book for you! I enjoyed learning about the history from c.2852 all the way to the present day. A lot of really interesting information is offered here. I especially enjoyed chapters on the twilight of imperial China, with very accurate information is presented here, setting up for you to truly understand that last chapter where China is today. I like how this book is well organized, very concisely, and building on each chapter to form a clear understanding.

Informative!

I don't know if it is the book- how the history of China has been told here, the narration, or simply China's history, but I feel like I would watch this documentary. It's probably all of those.

If you want to learn Chinese history without getting bored sick, this is the book for you.
