I don’t get around to reading books a whole lot, so being able to listen to this audio version was perfect for me. The Narrator does a great job expressing how I believe the writer wanted certain points to come across and feels very familiar and inviting to listen to. As someone that is currently experiencing a grandparent in the early stages of dementia, I found it very helpful in helping me understand ways to cope with and better understand where my grandfather is coming from. This has allowed me to be more patient and loving towards him. Would definitely recommend to anyone that has an aging family member or friend that is showing signs of dementia!

This book is written in a straightforward, factual and approachable way that helped me feel like I understood more about caregiving for those with dementia/alzheimers. I listened after my experiences watching and caring for my grandmother who had Alzheimer’s, and would have appreciated having this resource at the beginning.

Straightforward, helpful information

Gives a thorough, but straightforward, and easy-to- understand explanation of dementia, it's types, and it's causes. A good reference for resources you can use, as a caregiver, for what's available to help them, and what is available to help you as a caregiver. My friend's husband has been diagnosed with dementia, and this book has helped me to understand better what she is going through, and given me ideas of how I can support her as she cares for him.

Very thorough book while also providing empathy
