Charles Dickens' most beloved work brilliantly performed! This Christmas classic will warm your heart as it did the first readers almost 200 years ago. It has never ceased to be popular, since it was first published in 1843.

Ebenezer Scrooge is a care-worn miser, who has forgotten the joy and happiness of giving. Christmas, as a time of charity, is an enemy which returns to harass him yearly. Scrooge sees the poor as a lower class of life altogether, not fit to live, until one Christmas Eve, a series of ghostly visitors confront Scrooge with his wrongs. Will the selfish old miser hear the lessons of Christmas past, present, and future? Or will he turn a deaf ear.

May this ghostly little tale "haunt your houses pleasantly", and may your own heart benefit by it.

This was my first time reading/listening to this book. I had seen the theater version, but the book itself is a must-read classic that I just hadn't gotten around to until now. It did not disappoint.

The reader did an excellent job with voices, character, enunciation, and overall tone and performance. Going above and beyond to illicit a smile from the reader from time to time.

I would definitely recommend this version of A Christmas Carol, and I will be on the lookout for more books narrated by Ian Slentz!

An overall pleasant and engaging audio book!

By far the best version/expression of A Christmas Carol I've ever heard. I laughed, I cried, I pictured the scenes better than any Hollywood movie. My new Christmas favorite.

The Redemption of Scrooge, amazing!
